Students using Sequential Spelling for the first time invariably
put their first spelling word in the column for the 61st day instead of the 1st.
In the book the number 1 is NOT in red nor is it highlighted in
yellow. The
author deliberately put the first day in the second column so that the teacher can point
out AVKO's motto which is at the bottom of the page:
Mistakes are Opportunities to Learn.
